It was an underclassman who stole the show on Tuesday as Jecorey Jones came into the match with something to prove. La Quinta had no answer to Jones as he scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals in the win.
Jones and Palm Desert will head out on the road to square off against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Desert is7-2 against Rancho Mirage going back to January of 2020, a lead they'll look to extend.
