Covenant Day took down Oceanside Collegiate Academy on Tuesday, a win that might not have happened without Grant Gardner's standout effort. Gardner wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. The pitching appearance was his fourth straight with nine or more strikeouts.
