The Sebastian River Sharks lost against the Satellite Scorpions back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Sebastian River fell to Satellite 50-46. It was the first time this season that Sebastian River let down their fans at home.
Several Sharks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amarion Smith, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Simpson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Sebastian River has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Satellite, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Sebastian River won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Somerset College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Camron Moss and Simpson. Satellite won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Shore at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. West Shore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Satellite is ranked 161st).
