Southern Boone came into Monday's match looking for another win against Father Tolton, but Melia Wanserski wouldn't allow it. Father Tolton narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southern Boone 3-2 for which the team can thank Wanserski, who had 26 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Father Tolton wouldn't go down easily and took Southern Boone into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 20-25, 17-15.

Despite the loss, Southern Boone still got an impressive performance from Sadie Ahern, who had 23 digs and four aces. Kamryn Weter also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Father Tolton and bumps their season record up to 14-12-1. As for Southern Boone, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 11-18-1 record.

Father Tolton has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Hallsville on the 23rd. As for Southern Boone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kirksville on the 22nd.
