Snyder has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Estacado Matadors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Snyder was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to the Mustangs.
Despite the loss, Snyder had strong showings from Jasmine Hernandez, who scored 11 points, and Jayci Medrano, who scored seven points along with three steals. Medrano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Estacado's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Levelland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Estacado has scored all season.
Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Estacado, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-12.
Snyder might still be hurting after the 52-26 defeat they got from the Matadors when the teams last played back in January. Will Snyder have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
