Harrisburg is 2-8 against Rivercrest since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harrisburg Hornets will be playing at home against the Rivercrest Colts at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Harrisburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
Harrisburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Osceola with a sharp 63-41 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.

Harrisburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elisabeth Green out in front who went 8-for-12 on her way to 21 points and three steals. Green has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Alesia Rand was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.
Meanwhile, Rivercrest lost to Izard County on the road by a 61-43 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Cougars are ranked 30th).
Harrisburg will have to contain Jalexia Young as she made an impact in Rivercrest's last game. She posted eight points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Young has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Burks, who earned nine points and four steals.
Even though they lost, Rivercrest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.
Harrisburg is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.9 points over those games. Rivercrest's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Harrisburg has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Rivercrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Harrisburg ended up a good deal behind Rivercrest when the teams last played back in January, losing 63-46. Can Harrisburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
