The Mohonasen Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mohonasen has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Friday, Mohonasen came up short against South Glens Falls and fell 38-26.
Meanwhile, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake didn't have too much trouble with Queensbury on the road on Friday as they won 34-20. Given Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Queensbury is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dj Mosher out in front who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Mosher is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake also got a significant boost from John Gload, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's win bumped their season record to 5-1 while Mohonasen's defeat dropped theirs to 0-7.
Mohonasen took a serious blow against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake when the teams last played back in April of 2021, falling 55-14. Thankfully for Mohonasen, Michael Frattarola (who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
