Lyman and the Outlaws are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lyman is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home.
Lyman lost a heartbreaker to the Warriors when they met back in March of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. Lyman fell 62-53 to the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Rawlins was able to grind out a solid win over the Dogies on Friday, taking the game 44-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rawlins.
Rawlins' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxson Allard led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jose Morales, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Lyman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Rawlins, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Lyman couldn't quite finish off the Outlaws in their previous meeting back in January and fell 53-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Morales, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Now that Lyman knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
