Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Oak Hill didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over the River Valley Raiders on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Oaks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braden Bennett, who posted 13 points along with six boards and three steals. Landon Burns was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Oak Hill's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for River Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will face off against Symmes Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Symmes Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. River Valley and Unioto will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Unioto will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something River Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
