Softball Recap: Community Has No Trouble Against Wills Point

Community not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th (when they won 13-2). Everything went their way against the Wills Point Tigers as they made off with a 12-5 victory. Considering the Braves have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Community is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Wills Point, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community will venture away from home to face off against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wills Point, they will head out to square off against Sulphur Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
