The Philo Electrics pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sheridan. That's two games in a row now that Philo has lost by exactly six points.
Philo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Drew Wright, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Wright's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Rusty Trout, who scored 17 points.
Philo bumped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sheridan, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Philo will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tri-Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Tri-Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Philo in Ohio (Tri-Valley is ranked 116th, while Philo is ranked 623rd). As for Sheridan, they will head out on the road to face off against John Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully John Glenn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
