Beth Tfiloh had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Friends on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Quakers. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matchups by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Zachary Rogers was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Beth Tfiloh is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise. Rogers was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Beth Tfiloh got a great performance from Ami Bresler as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Bresler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Rafi Samuel, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Beth Tfiloh's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Beth Tfiloh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win (which was Beth Tfiloh's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Friends, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Coming up, Beth Tfiloh will head out to face off against Park School at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Friends, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Key at 7:30 p.m. on May 2.
