The Hemlock Huskies stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Millington at home to the tune of 63-30. The win was nothing new for Hemlock as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Hemlock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Borsenik, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Borsenik has scored all season. Lauren Borsenik was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Hemlock's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.5 points. As for Millington, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Coincidentally, Hemlock and the Cardinals will both be playing the Red Hawks the next time they take the court. Millington will head out to face Cass City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Hemlock will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
