Fort Bend Kempner is on a nine-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Terry a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Fort Bend Kempner Cougars will take on the Terry Rangers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Fort Bend Kempner fell victim to Fulshear's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Chargers, falling 66-0. While losing is never fun, Fort Bend Kempner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 899th, while Fulshear is ranked 26th).
Meanwhile, Terry suffered a tough 33-7 loss at the hands of Magnolia West on Friday. Terry was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
The losses dropped Fort Bend Kempner to 0-8 and Terry to 1-7.
Fort Bend Kempner strolled past Terry in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 19-0. Will Fort Bend Kempner repeat their success, or does Terry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
