Shenandoah Valley Academy lost against the Harrisonburg HomeSchool Lightning back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Shenandoah Valley Academy was beaten by Harrisonburg HomeSchool 75-45. Shenandoah Valley Academy has not had much luck with Harrisonburg HomeSchool recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Shenandoah Valley Academy still got an impressive performance from Avery Browne, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Browne scored a full 46.7% of Shenandoah Valley Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Pelote, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Shenandoah Valley Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Harrisonburg HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Takoma Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2024. As for Harrisonburg HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Rise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
