The Wooster Colts were the 58-54 winner over the Churchill County Greenwave when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Wooster took a 49-34 bruising from Churchill County on Wednesday.
Churchill County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Karlie Simper out in front who scored 11 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jada Anastasio, who scored 13 points along with 7 steals.
Wooster's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Churchill County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will take on Fernley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fernley will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Churchill County, they will be playing at home against North Valleys at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
