Austin Miller and Adam Redman were among the main playmakers for Newington as the former had 13 digs and one assist and the latter had eight digs. Those 13 digs gave Miller a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Simsbury made easy work of South Windsor on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.
Simsbury not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept South Windsor to exactly 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Newington, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
