Walled Lake Central dropped their record down to 6-5-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Walled Lake Western Warriors by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Walled Lake Western, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games.

For Walled Lake Western's part, Vincent Roach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Roach has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Walled Lake Western's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Sauve, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Novak Lazich also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
