Monsignor Farrell won against Iona Prep last Friday with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Lions blew past the St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings 28-6. Considering the Lions have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Monsignor Farrell to victory were Kevin Gumb Jr and Bryce Moye. Gumb Jr gained 143 total yards and two touchdowns, while Moye threw for 160 yards and one TD. Michael Libretta got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Monsignor Farrell's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
