They were the victim of a tough 52-32 loss at the hands of Providence Classical. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glen Iris Baptist has scored all season.
Glen Iris Baptist's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Everett, who scored nine points along with four steals. Everett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jackson Dickey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Glen Iris Baptist's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Providence Classical, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Glen Iris Baptist will take on Brooklane Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Classical will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Glen Iris Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
