After four games on the road, Bloomington South is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Evansville Harrison Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Bloomington South was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-58 to Floyd Central. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bloomington South came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Floyd Central is ranked 237th).
Even though Evansville Harrison has not done well against Floyd Central recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Evansville Harrison walked away with a 76-67 win over Floyd Central.
Bloomington South's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Evansville Harrison, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Bloomington South strolled past Evansville Harrison in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 by a score of 60-45. Does Bloomington South have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evansville Harrison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
