It was a good run, but the Boston Trinity Academy Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Sunday. They fell just short of South Shore Christian Academy by a score of 73-71. Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ceadan McCusker, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Glover, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Boston Trinity Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for South Shore Christian Academy, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boston Trinity Academy and Rocky Hill Country Day will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Rocky Hill Country Day's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for South Shore Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m.
