The Therrell Panthers will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against the Cedar Grove Saints at 5:30 p.m. Therrell will be strutting in after a win while Cedar Grove will be coming in after a defeat.
The matchup between Therrell and Carver on Thursday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. Therrell never let Carver onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. Adepeju "Yinka" Arogundade was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in three goals all by herself.
Meanwhile, Cedar Grove couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 10-0 defeat at the hands of Stephenson on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedar Grove in their matchups with Stephenson: they've now lost three in a row.
