Volleyball Recap: South Elgin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Paige Genke and Brianna Decheva

After a string of four wins, South Elgin's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Regina Dominican Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Brianna Decheva and Paige Genke certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Decheva had nine digs and two aces, while Genke had 11 assists and three digs.

South Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Regina Dominican, their victory bumped their record up to 17-14.

South Elgin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elgin on the 18th. As for Regina Dominican, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fenton on the 18th.
