There's no place like home for the Argos Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 62-57 W over Kouts on Saturday. With that victory, Argos brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Argos' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Richard, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Richard has scored at least a third of Argos' points. Another player making a difference was Luke Stults, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Argos' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Kouts, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Argos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Caston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully the Dragons like a good challenge. As for Kouts, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cherokees at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
