Spearville came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Minneola Wildcats 17-2. Considering the Lancers have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Spearville pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Minneola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Spearville will face off against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Minneola, they will challenge Kinsley on Friday.
