The Dallas Lutheran Lions had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Lakehill Prep by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64. The victory was just what Dallas Lutheran needed coming off of a 77-29 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Lakehill Prep had strong showings from Drew Perry, who scored 30 points, and Preston Corder, who scored 15 points along with five steals and three blocks. That was a full 46.9% of Lakehill Prep's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mercer Palamar, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Dallas Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Lakehill Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lucas Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Lakehill Prep will host Lucas Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Dallas Lutheran will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
