The Lehman Lobos will square off against the Rouse Raiders at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Lehman is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
Lehman fell victim to Liberty Hill and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lobos have suffered since February 14th.
Lehman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Adame, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rouse). They put the hurt on Fredericksburg with a sharp 15-5 victory on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Raiders with their most commanding win of the season.
Delaney Vannoy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Rouse let Ciana Arguijo and Madilynn George run wild. Arguijo went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while George fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave Arguijo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eeva Chick, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Rouse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fredericksburg only managed four hits.
The win made it two in a row for Rouse and bumps their season record up to 9-7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lehman, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.
Lehman might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Rouse in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Lehman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
