Terrell County pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Randolph-Clay. Terrell County has struggled against Randolph-Clay recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Shaheed Huckaby, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Michael Carter, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Miller County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Quitman County on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. The victory was just what Miller County needed coming off of a 73-32 loss in their prior matchup.
Terrell County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Miller County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.
Terrell County strolled past Miller County in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 64-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Miller County's Javiah Powell, who scored 22 points.
