This season hasn't been kind to the Summit Classical Christian School Archers, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwest Yeshiva on Saturday. Summit Classical Christian School lost against Northwest Yeshiva in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-10 score last time.
It was another big night for Paulina Gamel, who scored 20 points for Northwest Yeshiva. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Gamel has scored at least a third of Northwest Yeshiva's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Kaufthal, who scored six points.
Summit Classical Christian School's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.5 points per game. As for Northwest Yeshiva, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Summit Classical Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northwest Yeshiva will head out on the road to face off against Evergreen Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Evergreen Lutheran's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Northwest Yeshiva's offense will have their work cut out for them.
