The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crosspointe Christian Academy in their matchups with Heartland Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Crosspointe Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben Stock, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Yeiter, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heartland Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Clemens, who scored 15 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Clemens grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Clay Nivens, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Crosspointe Christian Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Heartland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
