The La Vega Pirates breezed by the Robinson Rockets to the tune of 89-34 on Friday thanks in part to Kelly, who went 10 for 22 on her way to 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Alaysia Gude, who went 8 for 16 on her way to 17 points and six steals. She has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last seven times she's played.
La Vega has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
