Baseball Game Preview: Bodine vs. High School of the Future

Bodine is a perfect 3-0 against High School of the Future since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Bodine will look to defend their home field against High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. Bodine knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully High School of the Future likes a good challenge.

Bodine's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sankofa Freedom Academy with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Bodine in their matchups with Sankofa Freedom Academy: they've now won four in a row.

Jaydn Parker was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Thomas Becker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Bodine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .444 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, High School of the Future came up short against Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech on Thursday, falling 20-4. That's two games in a row now that High School of the Future has lost by exactly 16 runs.

High School of the Future dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bodine, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Bodine took their victory against High School of the Future in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-7. Does Bodine have another victory up their sleeve, or will High School of the Future turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
