Loveland extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping their season record up to 15-6 in the process. Everything went their way against the Milford Eagles as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nate Ryan looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Derek Fleming was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Carrigan, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Loveland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milford only posted a batting average of .259.
As for Milford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On Milford's side, they got a good showing from Joe Cafferky, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Cafferky gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, David Kittrell was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Loveland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Milford: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
