The Palmetto Panthers were the 72-66 winner over the Southridge Spartans when they last played one another back in November of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Palmetto took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southridge on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Palmetto has scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Santiago Henriquez, who scored 21 points along with six assists and three steals. The matchup was Henriquez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Samfree Sarante was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Palmetto now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Southridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmetto will be home for the holidays to greet Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Southridge and Prosser will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Prosser presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southridge in their respective states (Prosser is ranked 18th in Washington, while Southridge is ranked 244th in Florida).
