 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Rafe Slager, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. He has become a key player for Chicago Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Meanwhile,  it was a Battle of the Birds when Aurora Christian duked it out with Parkview Christian Academy on Monday. The Eagles won by a  run and slipped past the Falcons  6-5. The  win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Aurora Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Owen Niedzwiecki, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  run.
 Chicago Christian's record is now 20-9. As for Aurora Christian, their record now sits at 15-13.
 Chicago Christian might still be hurting after the  12-1 loss they got from Aurora Christian  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
