Narraguagus strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Machias Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Wednesday.

Brody Robertson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Manny Absalom and Ryder Fenton did most of the damage at the plate: Absalom got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Fenton went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Max Worcester, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Narraguagus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Machias only posted a batting average of .200.

Narraguagus pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Machias, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Narraguagus will head out to challenge Washington Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.4, the Raiders 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Machias, they will face off against Bangor Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
