Valley Vista extended their losing streak  to nine  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-17 in the process. They came up short against  the Shadow Ridge Stallions, falling  26-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  20-1  on Tuesday.

As for Shadow Ridge, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-9-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six  runs or more this season.
On Shadow Ridge's side,  Jadyn Scott was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  Scott has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  McKayla Ethington was a standout: she got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to  hits, as she's  now  got three or more in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Liliana Moreno, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Valley Vista will host Mountain Ridge  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Monsoon are facing the Mountain Lions at the right time seeing as the Mountain Lions are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Shadow Ridge, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Liberty  at 3:45  p.m. The Stallions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.2  runs per game this season.
