The result was an unpleasant reminder to Reno of the 49-28 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the loss, Reno still got an impressive performance from Kindle Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Rowe is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Blake Wallace, who scored six points.
It was another big night for Quinn Garrett, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds for Damonte Ranch. Josie Tierney was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Reno has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Damonte Ranch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reno will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
