The Dr. Krop Lightning scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Carol City on the road to the tune of 72-43. The win was just what Dr. Krop needed coming off of a 84-43 loss in their prior contest.
Dr. Krop was led to victory by Emmanuel Ferguson and Joseph Washington. Ferguson dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Washington scored 28 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Washington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Alexandre, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Despite the loss, Carol City still got an impressive performance from Kimaury McGregor, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGregor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Decurtis Johnson, who scored five points along with five assists and three steals.
Dr. Krop's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Carol City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Krop will take on Monsignor Pace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Monsignor Pace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Carol City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against International Studies at 7:30 p.m. International Studies is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
