Baseball Recap: Quincy Notre Dame Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Augusta Southeastern on Wednesday, Quincy Notre Dame came back down to earth. The Raiders took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans on Thursday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Quincy Notre Dame saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Doellman, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Quincy Notre Dame's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Quincy Notre Dame is taking a road trip to square off against Lutheran at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they will welcome Macomb at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
