Basketball Recap: North Judson-San Pierre Skates Past South Central with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, North Judson-San Pierre rose to the challenge on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 52-24 victory over the South Central Satellites. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

North Judson-San Pierre found their leader in sophomore Cailyn Tunis, who went 10 of 15 to rack up 25 points and four steals. That's the most steals Tunis has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Lehiy, who earned five points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

North Judson-San Pierre smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

South Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Makenna Welsh, who had ten points, and Lexi Johnson, who scored three points along with seven boards and four steals.

North Judson-San Pierre's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for South Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

North Judson-San Pierre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 29-21 victory against Culver Community on the 7th. South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
