While losing is never fun, Keller Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Bobcat are ranked 134th).
Keller Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Larsen, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larsen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Blair, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Keller Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Byron Nelson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.
Keller Central will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fossil Ridge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Byron Nelson, they will head out on the road to face off against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
