While losing is never fun, Hamilton Township can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Vikings are ranked 98th).
Hamilton Township's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Myke-kila Dean, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds, and Alexis Wooten who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dean has scored all season.
Teays Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Younkin, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Horsley, who scored 17 points.
Hamilton Township has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Teays Valley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.
Hamilton Township will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloom-Carroll is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games. As for Teays Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Bishop Watterson will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
