Volleyball Recap: Putnam Wins Going Away Against Cheney Tech

Putnam won the last time they faced Cheney Tech and things went their way on Monday too. The Clippers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.

Putnam walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-19.

Esteban Suarez paced Putnam's offense, picking up five kills. Suarez got some help from Rhaiden Albino and his 13 assists. Finally, Sean Stamp kept Putnam's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

The victory got Putnam back to even at 7-7. As for Cheney Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Putnam is set to take on their familiar foe Wolcott RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cheney Tech will face off against rival Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
