Rumson-Fair Haven walked away with a 59-46 win over Manchester Township on Saturday. Rumson-Fair Haven's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
When it comes to explaining why Manchester Township lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devyn Quigley. Despite the final result, she scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Quigley's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Nolan, who scored 12 points.
Rumson-Fair Haven has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Manchester Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Rumson-Fair Haven will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Rose at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (St. Rose is ranked 25th, while Rumson-Fair Haven is ranked 30th). As for Manchester Township, they will be playing at home against Wall Township at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wall Township is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
