The Hamilton Heights Huskies lost against the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Hamilton Heights took a hard 52-38 fall against Guerin Catholic. While losing is never fun, Hamilton Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Guerin Catholic is ranked 28th).
Hamilton Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rees Knapp, who scored 5 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tillman Etchison, who scored 9 points.
Robert Sorensen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Guerin Catholic, scoring 22 points. The contest was Sorensen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Murans, who scored 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Hamilton Heights and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Guerin Catholic, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Hamilton Heights will head out on the road to face off against Muncie Central at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Muncie Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Guerin Catholic, they will play host again and welcome Westfield, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
