The Green Sea Floyds Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 48-23 loss at the hands of Lake View. Green Sea Floyds was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-11.
Despite the defeat, Green Sea Floyds saw an underclassman step up: Janyrah Mccleod scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Shantavia Hilliard, who scored four points.
Green Sea Floyds has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lake View, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
Green Sea Floyds will head out on the road to face off against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake View, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dillon Christian at 6:00 p.m. Dillon Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Lake View is ranked 64th).
