The Windsor Locks Raiders were the 60-37 winner over the South Windsor Bobcats when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Windsor Locks took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (55), Windsor Locks still had to take the loss.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Hinckley, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Grasso, who scored 19 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Windsor Locks and nudges their season record down to 11-4. As for South Windsor, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.
Windsor Locks will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Sports & Medical Sciences Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully the Raiders like a good challenge. As for South Windsor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Tolland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
