The Indianola Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Clayton 60-30. While losing is never fun, Indianola can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Clayton is ranked 118th).
Clayton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layton Brown, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Stefen Lewis, who scored 12 points.
Indianola's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Clayton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Indianola will challenge Stuart at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clayton and Eagletown will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
